Confused -OA better, CA and H worse?

Post by Andypap » Fri Dec 15, 2017 6:14 am

Hey-

Not sure why, but it seems my OA is down to a nice low 2, but, the other readings are taking over? My machine shows an AHI over 14! Is this worse, better, or, what?

IMO..Your pressure needs to be increased, but you have almost maxed out your machine. Increase your Max pressure from 18 to 20. This may reduce some of the H but you may need to consider a Bipap machine that will go to 25. The CAs were mainly during the first 90 minutes where you turned the machine off several times....you were awake or partially awake during that time.

Thanks, I'll try upping the pressure.

Also, would adding the "assistance" that lowers pressure when I breathe out somewhat simulate BiPap action?

That's the EPR setting....it reduces the exhale pressure by 1, 2 or 3.
