Got my new Respironics System One Series 60 auto. It came with a heated humidifier and I got the heated hose -- not sure why, but well, I did. No need for humidifier and it's turned off.
But, downloaded the data via bluetooth to Dreammapper.
After 10:12 hours, mask fit of 100% and AHI of 1.1. My old one was set to 12-16 (12 was my titrated pressure 20 years ago). 90% pressure is 10cm. I'm so thrilled. The pressure seemed lower than before (which 10 is less than 12, but auto may turn on the ramp feature because it was almost hard to breathe at the beginning. Auto mode may turn that on automatically, but I don't use the ramp button. Anyway, 1.1 AHI is awesome! I thought the lower diameter hose would actually make the air flow seem stronger, but it didn't.
Excited about new machine -- nothing important.
Re: Excited about new machine -- nothing important.
The machine will recognize the heated hose and its diameter and make the necessary pressure adjustments even if the humidifier isn't turned on.
The heated hose is the only hose that the machine will automatically detect and set up hose diameter settings and make necessary pressure adjustments behind the scenes for the smaller hose diameter.
Have you verified the starting pressure minimum? Maybe it is lower than you think it is and is so low it isn't comfortable.
The default from factory is 4 cm and that's going to be uncomfortable for a lot of people and maybe it didn't get changed to your usual starting pressure.
If your 90% pressure is showing 10 cm...then for sure the minimum starting pressure isn't the 12 you used to use on your old machine.
Did you get the manual that shows how to go into the clinical setup menu and verify the settings?
If not you can request it here. It's not the same as the typical user manual supplied with these machines.
