Normally, I like to use cpap.com. However, I ordered the DS560 without the humidifier and got an "item is backordered" email. So, knowing that they're probably discontinued in favor of the newer models, I went searching. I found http://www.directhomemedical.com/pr-sys ... onics.html
So, you get the DS560 with heated humidifier for $349. Use code FOOTBALL for 15% off that. I added the heated hose, a couple of extra filters and a $99 mask and it came to $401 shipped. As best I can tell, the same machine without the heated humidifier is $699 on cpap.com.
I apologize if posting deals is against the rules, but I admit to being too lazy to read rules .

cpap.com will price match when they can but the contracts with Respironics and ResMed sometimes means that they can't sell for a lower price.
For sure with ResMed (those Nazis like to price fix and they put some teeth in the contracts)...not so sure about Respironics products.
At any rate...the 560 is a discontinued machine and cpap.com may not be able to get any more of them and that might be why it is on back order or why it takes a long time.
But Direct Home is a good place (I have used them for card readers in the past) and if cpap.com can price match...they will so I suggest calling them up and just asking. It there's nothing in their contract with Respironics that prohibits selling lower than their MSRP...I just imagine they will try to price match.
My concern is the back order status and when/if do they expect to get more of this discontinued machine. Eventually all old inventory will be exhausted...the DreamStation model has been out for a couple of years now...so all these System One machines have been discontinued for quite some time. That's how come the price point has been lowered so much.

Re: $349 for a DS560 AUTO with heated humidifier
I didn't think they could match that price and couldn't get anyone on the phone, so I ordered it from DHM. Of course, cpap.com still would have gotten it here faster, waiting until Monday to order it, but oh well.
On a side note, Cpap.com did call me Tues evening, but again, was already too late. I'm an "instant gratification" kind of guy and thought perhaps they'd taken the week off for holiday.
