Heated tube question

Post by Addie » Thu Nov 09, 2017 5:48 pm

I have a heated tube in my setup. Should it not feel warm in the morning when I touch the tubing?
My water is filled every night to the max and is almost empty in the morning.

It will not feel particularly warm to touch, no.

It doesn't heat the water warm enough to change the temp of the tube

If your using a insulated hose cover and the air in your bed room is kind of cold anyway - and your heated hose is on full blast - when you squeeze the hose gently through the hose cover you can sometimes feel a very very little warmth but not much.

That's only if your using a heated hose and it's turned up to max. The warm water in your humidifier will never get warm enough to overcome the cooling effects of the air outside the hose. That's why we have so many issues with rain out when we don't have a heated hose.

I've had a heated hose for the last 2 years and honestly wouldn't want to not have one ever again. It stops almost all rain out, at least for me and were I live.
