After many years of using the Mirage FX, my third attempt to find something better was unsuccessful. The Mirage FX is very good, but after two weeks the membranes get distorted and the cushion needs replacing.
Last week tried:
N20 Magnetic clips. Good idea, BUT at least one must be detached or the mask cannot be removed. With the Mirage, straps can stay on and mask removed. N20 had nasal septal pressure, whereas Mirage does not. N20 has thicker membranes than the Mirage.
Dreamweaver nasal mask/pillows: Good, but extra pressure on upper lip ----> gums, and pulls up slightly on nose and cheeks. It felt like the DW nasal mask needed to be tighter to eliminate leaks.
So for now will continue on Mirage FX and replace the cushion every two weeks.

Re: Still trying for a mask better than the Mirage FX
I had the same problem with the Dreamwear nasal mask. I had leaks when I lay on my sides. BAD leaks. I so wanted to love that mask. The idea of it is great. I love where the hose attachment is. We were not meant to be.
Good luck on your search! I hope you find something that makes you comfortable!

Re: Still trying for a mask better than the Mirage FX
I have used fx wide for 6 yrs. Tried several others including dream wear. I really like dream wear but it pushes up on nose and it tends to hurt after a couple of hrs. I would like to find something similar to fx but no luck. it seems when i would ask this same question on other forums i would never get a straight or equitable answer. So i too am still looking. Sorry i can't help you.

Not recomending just sayin'--after 6 masks in 7 weeks have settled on Res med Airtouch20. It has a memory foam nose part that does not hurt. Gotta replace the memory foam once in a while when it no longer bounces back. I like it--so far
