I'm still struggling with accepting this 'treatment', but it's something that must be done. So far I don't feel much different, but I guess it takes time to reap the benefits for some.
Give it more time. Any adjustments you make should be small and one at a time, and you should give it a few days before making any other changes (unless the change is disastrous). It sounds like you're committed to make it work, and that's a huge step in the right direction.

Also was wondering did any ones symptoms show up overnight or was it a gradual progression? Thanks.

Mine was a slow progression - I was tired for months to years before I even considered looking for a solution. The real reason I went in was a lack of concentration and slipping memory (couple of extended family members had been recently diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimers). I would hazard a guess the it is almost always a gradual progression, but have no foundation for that, except that symptoms take a while to manifest.

Gradual onset here, too. I keep notes of my doctor visits, and realized I had been complaining for several years about being tired all the time. Bloodwork was mostly normal, though hypothyroidism was diagnosed a couple of years ago. It wasn't until my husband told me it was frightening when I would stop breathing while asleep. He urged me to get tested for sleep apnea, and the "rest" (what a wonderful word) is history.

OSA is a progressive condition. I guess you could have an accident, a tumor or an infection affecting the airway that would bring it on suddenly.

Central sleep apnea could be brought on suddenly by heart attack, stroke or opiods, and a few other medications.

That's what I've been told however just what seemed like one day I felt more tired the usual and shrugged it off then from then on I have been tired and fatigued every single day! Not sure if I did not notice the progression of my symptoms or if it all finally caught up with me.

Some of it was gradual, and some of it was invisible. For example, my sleep quality degraded over years. I didn't realize that it had gotten that bad. And many of the things that i had noticed, I assumed was part of getting older. Other symptoms, I had no idea were related. Multiple bathroom trips per night, nightmares, morning headaches, gerd, and more. I didn't know there are part of sleep apnea until they started clearing up, some of them very quickly.
