Do you find ramp up useful?
Re: Do you find ramp up useful?
I absolutely HATE the ramp feature and I NEVER use it! When I go to bed and put my mask on I want the air NOW. I do not want to wait for it to slowly ramp.

And I want to make sure my mask is sealing well when I am still AWAKE.134 wrote:I absolutely HATE the ramp feature and I NEVER use it! When I go to bed and put my mask on I want the air NOW. I do not want to wait for it to slowly ramp.

Re: Do you find ramp up useful?
Ramp is useful for those of us with very high pressures. It gives us a chance to adjust for leaks as the pressure is building. It's impossible to get nasal pillows to sit properly once the pressure is in the neighborhood of 25, but if you get everything situated on the way up the setup can sustain that pressure. If you spring a leak at 3am the only way to fix it is to turn everything off, reset the seal and ramp it up again.
If your pressure is low, like single digits or in the teens obviously this doesn't apply to you, but ramp is extremely valuable for those of us at the upper end.

Yes--ramp up gives me a chance to get my act together--and adjust my mask again..and maybe again. As I get further along into treatment, maybe I will change my mind.

Can your ramp be set for 24/7, maybe it could help you, but I doubt if it can do that. JimAMESS wrote:Yes--ramp up gives me a chance to get my act together--and adjust my mask again..and maybe again. As I get further along into treatment, maybe I will change my mind.

Good point. Pillows need pressure to seal but it makes sense that too much can cause problems.high_pressure wrote:Ramp is useful for those of us with very high pressures.
