Any Recommendations for Full Face Mask

Post by Sleepyv » Mon Oct 23, 2017 8:27 pm

I use Swift FX for her. I am very comfortable with this mask. Have been using Bipap for almost 2 years. Have no trouble sleeping with it but still feel very tired. My Dr. recently upped my pressure and every once in a while I vent, air out of mouth. I don't need a chin strap because I clench my teeth and my mouth is always closed it just leaks out of my lips.
Wondering about a full face mask. I do a lot of tossing and turning and sleep mostly on my side.
Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Sleepyv

You going to get a number of recommendations, but unless you try some on you won't know if they will work for you. Everyone's face is different and what might be perfect for me may be a disaster for you. I would start by going to cpap.com and looking at the pictures of the various face masks and read the hundreds if user reviews about each one. I personally use the Quattro and love it.....but YMMV.

I use the Zzz-Mask Full Face CPAP Mask by Probasics.

I like that it does not have the forehead support, and more then anything else I like the price $59(cpap.com). Compared the price to Resmed masks this mask is half price, and the replacement cushions are about half also. The mask works well for me, but every one is different. I have high pressure settings of 23/19, and so far this mask serves me well.

It would be a low price experiment any way.

I wish you well...

I prefer my nasal mask, but have the same issue - high pressure blows my mouth open.

I have been using the Amara View for several days now and it has fixed the wind tunnel problem. It is the least intrusive "FFM" I could find but is still 10 times more intrusive than my nasal mask.

I may like to try the Amara view. But how does it fit around the nose? Looks like it just seals at the bottom of the nose.

The only place it touches the nose is under the nostrils. Nothing around the end of the nose at all.

Amara view just did not fit right. Even the small size came right up to the corners of my eyes.

What are you talking about? How on earth can that happen unless your nostrils are between your eyes?
