Blowers go bad early if people don't keep their filters clean, back flush water into it, and mainly sometimes they just do. Take out the filter and try to hear the noise coming from the inlet, it can be a clue that it's a bad blower.

I just ordered a new tank, it'll be here tomorrow.

I'll update y'all if it fixes the problem.

Thanks for the input.

If so that was my humidifier tank seal. You can't buy just the seal replacement so I had to buy a new tank and the problem went away.

I was able to reseat the seal and the sound went away for a while only to eventually return later on.

Sorry I meant to say "hear" instead of "here"

I have now listened to the sound and I am of the opinion that it is not the tank seal. Your sound has a kind of whirl to it. I had the exact same sound problem with my PR ONE only a few weeks after getting mine.
Luckily I sent it back to cpap.com and they tested it and confirmed it was a machine fault and then sent a new replacement.

for your sake I hope I am wrong and that you are not having a similar problem with your Airsense.

I've heard some people say their machines make weird noises when the seals for the humidifier tank aren't on right... might try reseating everything,... check the manual, pull out the outlet elbow, make sure everything's where it should be.
I HATE that the gasket doesn't seat well!! I don't own one, but one of my residents has an AirCurve and it seems I'm the only employee in the place that does routine maintenance on it. I remove the lid to scrub the humidifier tank and the gasket always falls on the floor. Argh!!!

About once a month, my Airsense SQUEALS when it turns on--in rhythm with my breathing.
I pull out the tank, and reinsert it--all quiet again.
The problem is--it is not repeatable enough to show the DME.
Maybe I will just ask them for a new outlet elbow. (I think that is the culprit.)

Yeah, I don't think it is either, but its the cheapest troubleshoot.

I'll know tomorrow.

Folks the forum software has been a bit whacko the last few days. I have found multiple instances of duplicate posts from myself when I know with 100% certainty I didn't do it. When you see the posted times so close together like a minute to 3 minutes apart...it's the forum software acting up.
If we try to post again too soon...it won't let us anyway. Did you ever see "you can't post so soon after another post" message??? I have.

What I do when I spot duplicates of mine is go remove the last one.

If someone doesn't spot a duplicate to get it removed...no big deal. We can't catch them all.

That's only true if the 2 posts are identical...if they are not, then the post was submitted twice.

Well, that wasn't it. A new tank, with new seals of course, didn't change the sound.
