Same here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was like a slow drown last night.
I use the ResMed Swift FX Nano for her nasal mask and the cushion was full of condensation and
tubing and area about my eyes was wet and nose felt congested.
HORRIBLE
As if wearing this thing is not bad enough.
I just found this link

I don't know why people try to make fixing rain out such a difficult thing when the fix is easy if using a heated hose...increase the hose air temp. If maxing isn't enough then add some cozies of some sort.
I would do those things long before I would reduce humidity.
And the "keep the machine" lower advice doesn't work so great with the AirSense machines because of the way the hose goes into the humidifier. Gravity isn't enough....been there done that and not long ago. Held the hose straight up in the air trying to get the water out of the hose and it wouldn't completely drain back into the humidifier.

Pugsy, you are correct in your advice. It just takes some of us a little time to understand the relationship between the hose temp and the "hotplate" temp.

Would you say that by increasing the hose temp you may need to increase your humidity level a tad? You know, to keep everything in balance.?

I don't.

I use the same humidity level year round. I just vary the hose air temp as needed for either my own comfort or rain out control.
While that 86 degrees is quite comfy in mid January it isn't nearly so nice in mid July. So in mid July I will use maybe 66 degrees but the humidity never changes.

Now you can do whatever you wish that keeps you comfortable and your nose happy. That's all that matters.
I found that my nose doesn't change in humidity. It likes to stay consistently moist and not have me screw around with things.
When my nose gets unhappy it usually makes me miserable and it's just so simple to keep the same humidity setting that makes it happy year round. I get really bad allergy like symptoms when my nasal mucosa get dried out (like when I forget to fill the water chamber and it goes dry during the night) and takes 2 or 3 miserable days for things to get back to normal. I see no sense in messing with what is working well.

My suggestion is find a setting your nose likes and keep it like that all the time. Then just change the hose air temp as needed.
Winter is always the worst for rain out because most of us will lower the house air temp during the winter.
