I wonder who takes the loss on the return policy .... Phillips Respironics perhaps?

Because if you read further down to the end of the "Features" tab it states ..... "Return On Warranty Issues Only"

I would call first to see how the "return within 30 days for a refund of the purchase price" works ... which I assume does not include a refund on shipping or tax if applicable.

Ooops! Just realized this thread was started 11 days ago ... maybe it is too late to ask about return policy first?

If you read the FAQs, return insurance does not cover return postage. CPAP.com charges for return insurance in most cases. If you keep the mask, they make a little more. I'm sure that manufacturers have the same deal with them as other DME's. Do the paperwork, get credit for the returned mask. Perhaps the manufacturer is subsidizing the masks that have "free" return insurance.

Medicare MANDATES DME coverage but no such (federal) requirements for private insurers. And some Medicare supplements impose a co-pay.

Thanks and sorry to mislead but I have not ordered this mask (I was referring to whomever might have ordered on since this thread was started 11 days ago).

The link above offers "free" return insurance.

In any case, I would highly recommend the forum sponsor for CPAP supplies which is where I have always purchased mine and mostly paying out-of-pocket.

Sorry u are ill informed. No one "BRAGS" about insurance. Maybe a car or a house but surely not insurance. Only informing anyone whos interested that all all policies with Medicare in their name are not the same. To me that sounds like a helping hand and not a hindurance . I dont know how old you are--but grow up. Take this forum as a place to learn ..maybe things even you dont know.
Definitely Hindurance. If you were serious about adding valid information, you would register, fill in your equipment and show some nightly data. Right now I classify you as a Troll.

And by the way. Medicare Insurance does not pay for change of masks. I can EXCHANGE them. Turn one in for another. I cannot collect masks and have a different one every night. I was told by the medical place they send the used masks back to the company to be cleaned and re-bagged. If the mask is a total mess-then they give them to the needy.

Some DME's like yours apparently have a liberal mask return policy--that's great. Others limit the mask returns just so they don't have to do the paperwork to get reimbursed.

As for "returning the used masks" I say bullhockey. I have returned a trial mask and watched as the DME threw it into the trash. It's costly to mail masks and/or do the cleaning satisfactorily. I believe your DME is telling you a story. After watching one be thrown in the trash I asked if I could just keep the trial mask anyway--the answer was yes.

If as Amesssss says is so, watch that Nose, she must be getting the used masks, her DME is repacking himself, with the fresh germs. Jim

Lucky for her, she got a So No Clean, she can hammer it on her masks until she smashes all the Germs, they have short legs and can't run fast.

I have got one with a liberal return policy and it applies to everyone and not just newbies to cpap therapy.
A 60 day mask return time frame.
I have used it only once though. He talked me into trying the Wisp and I hated it so I swapped it out.
Now they do require physically returning the unwanted mask and it does go in the trash and they just fill out the paperwork for credit.

It goes like this...I get a mask and for 60 days I can swap that mask for any mask they have and I can keep swapping until I either find one I like or the 60 days is up.
I asked..."you mean I could try 20 masks in that 60 days" and he said "yep".
They just require the return of the unwanted mask so that people don't abuse it and collect 20 or 30 masks and then go selling them somewhere.

They don't/won't sell opened packages either. They don't rob the nasal pillows out of the P10 (or whatever nasal pillow mask) that aren't my size. Now they wouldn't special order the TapPap back when I was using it...was honest about it and said it costs them what I can buy it online for and by the time Medicare cut the allowable amount down there just wasn't much profit in it what with the cost and the special ordering. I didn't want to push the issue because they were honest and up front with me about it. Now if they had tried to blow smoke up my butt and blame it on something I knew wasn't true then I might have raised a stink.
