Sounds like you figured out to have the diffuser holes facing away from you. When your so 'punch drunk' tired, these little things can be a big obstacle. I'm really impressed you can go without PapCap or chin strap. Way to go!!!

Have used nomask for many years. The difusers (green sponge) are noisey. I use two on each hole to quieten them down. I use an icepick to get them
on the tubes by working them on slowly. Put one on the tube and then the other one on top. Be sure to turn the holes away from the face. I mark
the difuser with a marker so I know where the hole is.
As far as teeth moving I have had no problem with my upper teeth but the lower ones have moved apart as a result of clenching my teeth when
stressed! My pressure is 10. I use the hanger to loop the hose overhead and have no problem with pillow moving the mask. The hanger came with
a previous purchase of a nomask and it makes a big difference in controlling movement of the mask. I use a towel on my pillow for drips which
are minimal.

Great idea on doubling up the diffusers. I tried that last week and what a difference! That's how quiet it should be. They should make them thicker to start with. I don't use the hanger, I just run the hose behind and through the headboard, under the pillow, and under my arm. I have no problem at all with the mask shifting as I move around. My pressure on the "standard" masks was 7.0 but after using the Pro changed it to 8.0. This mask is so much easier and more confortable to use but does require a bit more maintenance and tinkering to get it just right.

I found NOMASK seven years ago, but not soon enough to avoid pain and permanent scarring from the "normal" headgear masks. It has worked fine until very recently.

At the same time, I bought a PB Goodknight 420g. It worked very well for me with NOMASK, until last Fall, when the aging machine started to show signs of imminent demise. When I tried to get a replacement, I learned it had been discontinued. *sigh*

So I got an IntelliPAP Standard and Heated Humidification System (DV51D-HH). It too works OK for me, except when I connect the humidifier. Then it seems like I have to work consciously to inhale. When I fall asleep, I forget to work, the machine downshifts, and I snap awake gasping.

Has anyone else had similar issues with NOMASK and/or the DV51D-HH?

Well, much time has passed...... I'm finally allowed back in! Some reason I received a new password after more than a year Well, I've used the 'nomask' CpapPro exclusively. My therapy is outstanding. Between the papcap and cpap pro, apnea are rare. Leaks in the 18-21 range. Comfortable, great night sleep. I've learned to relax with it all. Instead of trying to make it perfect, relax and know if it's not 100%, I'm still good.

What's been really nice is the boil & bite. With the papcap, having it tight in the mouth is not so critical. Matter of fact, it can be somewhat loose, papcap does the rest. If the hoses start to get too noisy... Well it's time to call the DME and replace. Yes, insurance covers Cpap Pro. I've collected a nice surplus for backup.

I'm not concentrating on my therapy as much. Basically, because everything is setup right, reliable and comfortable. No more daytime sleepiness. Weight loss is fantastic and I'm not edging up on a regular diet. Matter fact If I'm 'full', I wake up feeling lighter

Life is good! Now, trying to recover from years of cognitive impairment. It's going to take some work... But, looking back, I didn't realize how sick I was. I feel blessed and alive!!

I intend buying this Nomask CpapPro, but before I do so, can anyone relate how the Boil & Bite process is possible
on a person with a full-set upper denture? Having such a denture set may be advantageous or not?

My brother has a bridge, and had to re-do the boiling process as the first time he did it without, and it hurt.
He redid it with the bridge in, but wears it without the bridge, leaving a void, which is more comfortable.
Re-dos are always possible. Trial and error is encouraged.
You may also pay your dental lab to make an impression of your denture, and mold the insert for you
to fit just like your denture does. (hot plastic may be a little more than your gums can take)

Well, my Respironics M series went flying after wrapping the hose around myself. I moved and had not put up the cozy hose hanger.

Went through the settings with a DME Tech and told her it just wasn't right. After ten days of ripping off the mask and finally giving up all together, I called the Doctor. Doctor looked at the reports, all messed up!

After three weeks of my prescription getting screwed up, gaining weight, constantly clearing throat and waking up in a puddle of sweat, a new S9 was delivered. Santa came early!!

Feel better already!! Technology has come along way, I can really tell the difference. My memory is absolutely shot, hoping some of it will return. My memory is absolutely shot, hoping some of it will return.

I've learned to relax with the CPap Pro. The boil and bite it just not that critical. Getting an impression just to be comfortable and not getting anal if it's loose. The key, once again, the PapCap. Let the Papcap hold the boil and bite in place. It'll do all the work comfortably. And, the Cpap Pro is quiet. If it's not, you don't have your nasal pillows adjusted correctly. It doesn't have to be perfect. Remember, run your hose through the top of the PapCap.
