I know there is another thread about this but I wanted my own and a more current thread.
I washed the AirCurve water chamber last night and as I was drying it I noticed some water inside the bottom between the heater plate and the plastic. I couldn't get to it to dry it. It was there this morning. It hasn't leaked outside...yet. I have no idea how long that water has been there....we all know that I am not the most diligent of water chamber cleaners (maybe once every month or two) and this is actually the first time I ever really looked while drying it after washing...so it could have been there for 6 months or more for all I know.
This water chamber has over 3500 hours on it...
It has never been through a dishwasher..I don't have a dishwasher except for my 2 hands.
It certainly hasn't ever been over cleaned.... Nothing I own ever gets over cleaned.
I will try to get a picture tomorrow..and share it. It's not a huge amount but it's there. I don't know how well it will show up in a photo.
I went to the DME today and showed him and he said yep...not the first time he has seen it. Wanted to know how long I had been using it and I said a long time so I wouldn't claim a warranty issue. So my insurance gets to pay for a new water chamber. First time in 8 years I have used my insurance for a water chamber. Also picked up a spare heated hose.

Re: AirSense/AirCurve leaky water chamber
I often get water there when washing our water chambers. If you look on the bottom of the chamber, there is a small hole in one corner. The water will run out this hole. I just shake the water out after washing them. Since I do the cleaning in the early morning, they are always dry by bed time.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.
Re: AirSense/AirCurve leaky water chamber
Thanks, I will try shaking it out and see if that works.

Re: AirSense/AirCurve leaky water chamber
Okay...I found the hole that OkieBiPap was talking about and I inverted the machine on a towel last night (shaking did nothing) and figured I would let it drain overnight.
There is less water showing today but not totally gone.
So the water chamber is still usable but I have concerns about water being in there and my not knowing about it ...for periods of time.
It will remain an emergency use back up...just in case I drop the new one and break it (which wouldn't be impossible).
While the table my machine is on isn't anything special...I really don't want to be cleaning up a mess of water should it totally fail.
It's an old antique table and I have been toying with refinishing it to bring it back to its original glory. Water damage would make that job a whole lot more difficult.
My DME did confirm that there have been some cases of total failure and big messes. So just keep an eye on those chambers.
As with any cpap supply...keep a spare of everything handy. Never know when Murphy's Law will come for a visit.
