Stay Safe CPAP.com crew

Post by Pad A Cheek » Fri Aug 25, 2017 8:28 am

Just want to send prayers to the Houston area and the team at CPAP.com offices.
This Hurricane Harvey is looking pretty nasty. I hope it does not bring as much rain as they are calling for.
Stay safe.

Karen

Howdy,

Thanks Karen for the warm wishes! Most CPAP.com'ers are remote today.

We're shipping what we can with limited teams on site and working to prioritize expedited orders. We haven't gotten formal word on Friday pick ups but the informal word is yes.

We're planning an early Monday, weather allowing, to catch up on shipments for a clean Tuesday start.

Johnny

Thinking of those in Harvey's way. Do what is necessary to stay safe. I'm sure many of us will be following the progression of this storm. Hopefully, it won't be as terrible as the news predicts.

Absolutely hope that it is not as bad as predicted.
So much news of ninnies putting themselves in danger--just because of foolishness.
Of course, you folks have common sense.
I hope those lacking sense are lucky--even though the odds are against it.

+1

The Euro model is predicting the storm to linger off the coast until sometime next week.

To ALL affected please stay safe, we will be here when you return.

Just saw where your friendly local Waffle House is ready to stay open as long as possible.
If they close, the experts say you need to vamoose!

Surely you jest. You know there isn't a member among us one could possibly consider cranky.

I am pleasantly surprised to see both cpap com and this forum both still up and available at this point in Hurricane Harvey, esp. after seeing the rain bands and the news reports of Houston, my goodness.

Sheriff and I were corresponding via PM. The last one on Sun AM I asked whether he was staying dry or in danger...He's outside of Houston...Never got a reply ?? Hope he is safe.

The Sheriff lives about 50 miles north of me. The power outage map shows over 7,000 customers without power in his neck of the woods. My power was out for less than an hour Friday evening. Harris County is over 1,700 sq miles, and the average Harvey rainfall is over 25 inches. The closest rain gauge to me reads 37.7 inches, while the Sheriff's shows 26.5 since Friday morning. My neighborhood is dry, but not for thousands of others.

I lived in Houston during my undergraduate years (attending school in the Texas Medical Center) (a very long time ago!). I remember tunnels under the entire center which would flood with just normal rains. I'm sure (I hope!) they've managed to fix all that now, but I can't imagine what it must be like around there. Praying for you all.
