I see this listed after the names of some posters. What does this really mean?

It meads you are not reading the posts on the forum or using the limited search function, it is explained over and over on this forum. Basically ignore it, it will continue and means nothing. JimTedVPAP wrote:I see this listed after the names of some posters. What does this really mean?

It means that poster is not logged in. That's all.TedVPAP wrote: I see this listed after the names of some posters. What does this really mean?

Has something to do with IP address and not being logged in. Forum software mistakenly tries to remember so and so from so and so IP address and attribute the person to that forum ID. Problem is that more than one person might accidentally be using the same IP address...so the forum software lists everyone when in reality it's probably no one.Guest wrote:It means that poster is not logged in. But when I saw a prolific poster attack someone implying that there was significance I thought I would ask for clarification.

It wasn't me, I don't bother with 3x. I have no anger, no animosity, and no interest in conversing with 3x.

as explained countless times, what it tells you simply is:
you are posting with / from the same ip-address that these registered users also have used in the (very long) past!
the only takeway would be: they have the same ISP and may be living in the same area as the guest is currently posting from. (and that is already a big "if")

It is like an area code on your phone's caller ID.
Sadly, the phone scammers are able to FALSIFY the entire number appearing on your caller ID.
duplicating your area code and also the 3 digit prefix. [[[--Identity theft?]]]
AFAIK, the "also posted as" is only a useless relic of obsolete programming.
We get it because it is a FREE forum.
