F20 mask question

Post by marnne108 » Tue Jul 25, 2017 6:42 am

Does anyone know the difference between the F20 AirTouch and the F20 AirFit masks? Is one of them an upgrade? Thanks!

AirTouch is made with memory foam in the cushion instead of the usual silicone and it is very new to the market.
It will fit on the frame for the F20 regular silicone cushion so if someone has the "older" model and wants to try the memory foam model they can do that with just getting the cushion.

Not an upgrade...just a different type of cushion...1 is silicone...1 is foam. Both fit in the same mask frame.

My wife and I have tried both types of cushion. The Air Touch cushion has a foam lining where it touches your face. It is very comfortable. However, we both found it leaked excessively with higher pressure (over 15 cm H2O). My pressure is 20, and I had trouble with leaks right from the start. I changed back to my regular cushion after only two hours usage. My wife used hers for several nights, until they raised her pressure to over 15, then she too started to get massive leaks. They recommend you do not wash the Air Touch cushions, only wipe them off with a wipe or damp cloth. I never tried to wash one since we did not not use them very long.
