PSG (sleep lab) = 10,00€ each day - 1st night counts as 2 days .. OR: 0,00 € - depends on how the lab charges the insurance. But nowadays most insurances tend to no longer allow the 10,00 € charging.

In the US, sleep studies cost between $600 and $5,000 (verywell.com). Average is between $1500 and $1800. Home sleep studies are typically between $150-500 (sleepassociation.org). If you must pay out of pocket, make sure to get a contract before agreeing to the procedure. This 'we don't know how much it will cost' is total garbage since the doctor order is available and billing can make accurate estimates.

$250 US. It was at home and included O2, and a couple other things. It was more than sufficient for my personal needs as I already knew I had apnea and just wanted a CPAP machine. And since I'm self-pay, that's all that mattered.

Mine cost $30. Somehow my doctor billed the insurance company as an "office visit". The really weird part was that between the sleep study and what would have been my follow up visit, my doctor got ObamaCare'ed and I never saw him again (2 1/2 years ago now).

MIne was one of the more expensive sleep studies compared to other people here. Fortunately, I slept very well, despite expecting not to. And the tech was awesome. She fitted me for the perfect mask, and I slept very well during my titration. She gave me a taste of success which really helped me to keep going since I now knew the difference between a good and bad night.

Between myself and 2 other family members, all 3 were billed at $2k to $3k for in lab split studies. That means the first few hours were observational and the last half of the night was titration.

In all 3 cases the insurance companies allowed $700 to $800 for each study and the rest was written off. So cash patients have to pay at least 3 times more than insured.

This is a good example why the USA is having so many problems with universal health care.

I'm glad I didn't know i advance. I might have cancelled it and gone untreated. It was really the best night of sleep I had experienced in many years. And it got me off to a great start since I knew what a good night felt like. I knew that cpap would truly make me feel better. And I already had the best mask chosen for me. They picked the best settings for me. The ONLY settings I changed since getting my machine were the humidity settings, turning off the ramp, and changing the time so that my "nights" would not be split. They recommended 11-17 in my titration, and that has been perfect for me.

A lot of people struggle because their sleep study didn't go so well. Or they don't feel any improvement in teh first few weeks. It is really hard to keep trying when you feel no improvement, or you feel worse. But that titration was so successful that my next night at home, I actually dreamt that I was going to have to wait 6 months to get my machine. I was angry and wanted it now. My brain liked that titration so much, that even in my sleep, it was telling me, get me one of those NOW.

So, even though my portion was more than I expected, I am grateful to have gotten such a good sleep study.

I did a home study bulk bill and $50 copay. I was ripped off, as I found out later.
you can do a public hospital for free
some labs will bulk bill if they have their own set up and are bulk bill and free.
You can also do private hospitals and a nil or small copay, depending on your chosen insurance cover.

Yep, full overnight sleep study, specialist appointment, full overnight titration study and another specialist appointment, all in a public hospital - totally free.
I did have to pay for my ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset. Nearly 2k. Go figure!

Just had a sleep study about 6 weeks ago. The billed amount was $1700 USD. The plan allowance was $607.26. Medicare paid $ 483.83, my supplimental insurance picked up the balance.
