Imgur how to use it, need help

I am totally lost trying to use Imgur to post a screen shot from Sleepy Head. I finally got registered on Imgur and pasted a screen shot in to the space it said to put it, and can't do a darn thing else. I am using a MacPro laptop, if that matters. I don't want to post it on Facebook, Twitter or any number of other places it says I can.
I re read Pugsy's pointers and still can't find the different places to click on to get the address needed to then post on cpaptalk.com

Guess this old brain needs step by step how to instructions to make it work. HELP!

Assuming you have an imgur account and an image uploaded to that account...

First you have to be logged in to your imgur account.
Then you have to click on the image you want to post here.
Once that image is in front of you there will be a box of addresses on the right and at the bottom of that box is the thumbnail choices.
Click on large thumbnail.. (this changes the coding in the box of addresses).
Then copy the very last line (bottom of the box) of addresses and paste that address into the body of your text here.
You will see the code....click on preview to see if the image shows up.

This is the box of addresses I was talking about. The line to copy is the "linked bbc code"

Yes, read and re read, but some of the images you get in some of these pages are different from what I see on Imgur it self on my computer.

Been trying to read all the info pages on Imgur and they keep getting shut down due to overload. Will try later.

Exactly where are you stumped at?

Well, to start, when I click on a image I want to share, I don't get the box of addresses you say are on the right side. The first time I tried, I got a box asking what size image did I want, I was stumped right there.. I picked one and nothing has worked like it's supposed to since...

You won't get the box of addresses unless you actually log in to the imgur account.
When Kevin made the instructions he has posted, that you have read, people didn't have to be logged in but imgur changed and Kevin hasn't gotten around to updating his instructions.

If you can't see the box of addresses that I showed you then you aren't logged in to your account. You may still be where you can view things but you aren't logged in...or at least that is what I have been told. I can't see anything at my imgur account until I log in.
Or maybe you haven't created an official account yet?????

I had to create a new account, been a long time since I first had an account and forgot old user name and PW.
think I was signed in whenI tried to post a picture, not sure any more if I was or not. Tired, enough for today, will try again tomorrow when brain function is better...LOL
