are you not paying attention? resmeds don't use pressure pulses.
whether or not your machine uses FOT or not is another question, however, it's unlikely that it does, since it doesn't need to differentiate, since it's not going to do anything about either... since it's not an auto.

I wasn't paying attention, I was combining fot and pressure pulse, silly me.. I was more focused on what machines were giving ca and oa data in which modes. I edited as you were writing to say that in cpap mode, the s9 st tells the difference between ca and oa and I used respironics tech name instead of fot again.
do you know if the st-a flags ca and oa? because I don't and I'm now curious.

why don't you try doing some research, download some manuals, google up some charts from people that have one, see what you can find out... and maybe keep your terms straight, so that you can actually find what you're looking for, it helps.
