Hello,
I'm new, just got set up with a cpap and found this place through searching for my myAir score. I've had three nights, and have had pretty bad score all three nights. I have a nasal mask I've used twice and a full mask I've used once.
I seem to take the mask off in my sleep, which ends up with me only getting 2-3 hours of reading per night. My events per hour is usually about 12, which hasn't changed on the machine. I know it'll take some getting used to, but I don't feel like anything is different at all.

What machine are you using....exact brand and model?
What pressure(s) are you using?
Are you using ramp?

Hopefully you will have a full data machine so you can use the software and see what's going on in detail with that AHI.

https://sleep.tnet.com/equipment

Using the machine for only 2 or 3 hours a night isn't going to give you any chance of feeling better even with if the AHI and everything else looked good on paper.

The AHI of 12...need to know the event category breakdown of that AHI because if it is mainly obstructive you may need more pressure but if it is mainly Central /Clear Airway apnea events more pressure won't necessarily fix it and might make it worse.

It's a resmed airsense 10. Setting is 7 with ramp starting at 4 for five minutes.
Last night I did keep in on all night. 7 hours.
I'll download sleepyhead. It looks like I have to use my laptop for that so I'll do it when I get home. From work.

Jason423,

Please put you equipment in your profile. You might want to put other information in the "free form" area of your profile (like I did, for example). Check my profile at the bottom if this posting for details.

There are several Airsense 10 models...If yours is an Airsense 10 CPAP model you are out of luck. That model does not work with Sleepyhead and provides minimal data. Hopefully you have an Autoset or Elite model.

I'd suggest starting by reading through my SleepyHead Guide for new users over at apneaboard. The URL for the SleepyHead Guide is http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph ... SleepyHead

You can also read through Pugsy's Pointers thread near the top of the Stickies here at cpaptalk.
