Resmed S9 is malfunctioning... UGH
Just went to plug in my S9 after a couple months of no use (was using a Respironics) and the display/power button keeps cycling on/off and it's not fully functioning. With or without the SD card in it. I've tried checking the power supply and wall outlets, and it looks fine. I bought it pretty new from second wind. Any suggestions? Hopefully it's under warranty. Is there a way to hard reset it other than unplugging it and plugging it back in?
Thanks!
Z
Thanks!

Second Wind has a 6 month warranty so if you are under 6 months I'd call them and get it sent back.

Any message display on the screen
Re: Resmed S9 is malfunctioning... UGH
Try it without the humidifier, too.
Play with the buttons to see if one is stuck.

No message on the screen... it toggles on/off... shows reading sd card while flickering... turns off, reboots... power light flickers... tried with/without humidifier, etc. Had it less than 6 months, It'll be going back today.
Thanks,

Flickering power? Make sure the power cord is plugged in snugly both in the back of the unit and the wall outlet.

First thing I checked. Wondering if the connector has gone bad on either the plug side or the machine side. However, I haven't even touched it in a couple months...

Plug it in for a few hours. Run it if you can. Then unplug the power on the back of the unit (unplug the power brick from the cpap machine). Once it goes off, hold down the power button. Then unplug the brick for about 20 minutes. Then plug it all back on. If that doesn't reset it, its broken.

Tried something similar. It's broken. Second Wind is sending out a new machine today as a replacement. Great customer service.
Thanks,

Sir, Would you be so kind as to inform me as to why my resmid air sense 10 has suddenly stopped the water level going down after a full night use of my cpap machine. It was ok about a week back but now the water level remains the same. Is anything gone wrong ? I do not have a doctor nearby to get it checked. Please help.

The humidity in your home has likely gone up.
The machine only gives you enough to get it up to 80% (or something like that)
If the ambient humidity is already at that level, you are saving water--and not getting a wet nose.

Usually it's a software issue, but a bad power supply can cause the same issue. (for the original question)

The thread you're posting in is around 5 years old. Most of the people are probably long gone.
I'm looking at my Resmed airsense Apap right now. If this is not your machine, the notes might not work. Looking at the front of the machine below the display press the house button. Display will illumiate. Using the large knob to the right of the display, rotate it so the top option (My Options) is blue. press the large knob once, and your options will appear. Rotate the knob again, to move the selector to humidity level. What is that number, or is it off? If it's low or off your machine is not providing much or any humidity. If you want to change it, make sure the selector is on humidity level, press the large knob, and rotate the knob to increase the humidity level. If you rotate the knob and increase or decrease the humidity level, press the large knob once again to enter your new choice.
Hope this helps. If it doesn't, you might consider starting a new thread to get more attention.
-Bill
