I don't know if you'll even see this, but I did want to mention something I forgot in my first post that might be helpful if you end up having to go with the unplug/plug in. A couple of years ago after I had a hysterectomy, I couldn't easily bend over to unplug/plug in my heated hose to the power strip. So I sat the power strip on the back of my nightstand. I ended up leaving it that way. Very convenient and easy for plugging in and unplugging every day. Just a thought.ThreeDJ16 wrote:". . . I really haven't heard much good about this device, but if you insist on using it, I don't think that it can do any harm.ThreeDJ16 wrote:Well I can't possibly respond to all the dumbass posts here (thanks for the one or two trying to be helpful). My advice is simple (and somebody already gave it). Disconnect the electricity when using the SoClean device. Really, you should disconnect it anyhow during cleaning.

But we all found better things to spend $300 on than you did. Even if we bought lotto tickets with the $300. Who wants $300 Germ Laden Dollars anyway! Jim

$100.00 bucks to a charity of your choice if you can tell me of one hospital using a similar system. I am very well aware that there are a few hospitals that use ozone sterilizers. The name of the company is TSO3 and their sterilizer costs upwards of 100K and requires an oxygen farm to feed the O2 needed to generate ozone. So, again 100 bucks to your charity if you can tell me of a hospital using a 300.00, non FDA 510K cleared medical device.
You have done your research, this should be easy for you.

If you were as smart as you think you are, you should have known to unplug your machine before using the cleaner device.ThreeDJ16 wrote:Well I can't possibly respond to all the dumbass posts here (thanks for the one or two trying to be helpful). DUH! It's going to Auto-start if it's plugged in and air is blowing through it.
As far as calling us "dumbasses", at least we did our research long ago and found spending that much money on a device that cleans somebody's wallets was a WASTE of money. I can buy lots and lots of Dawn dishwashing liquid for that price. At least I know that Dawn WILL "clean" my mask.
But, it has been kind of slow around here lately, so you trolled us at an opportune time.
They can't/won't delete your account or this thread. And, besides, your thread/posts will come in handy when the next person comes by to ask about wasting their money on that device.
As previously stated, the SoClean device would NOT be used in a hospital environment and is of very dubious value in a home setting.
Have a good day and enjoy your "wallet cleaner".

Re: SoClean 2 Activating My CPAP
And, what is more, the "stupid soak and dry" crap does not need to be done--EVER.
Baby wipes (unscented) will clean any nonporous surface in seconds--easily, cheaply, and portable AF.
The headgear can be machine washed with delicates in a lingerie bag.
For $300, I could get enough baby wipes to use for the rest of my life--and donate the rest to a shelter.

Re: SoClean 2 Activating My CPAP
ThreeDJ16 - Not sure if you're still checking this but I might have a solution as to why your ResMed Autosense 10 is sometimes starting up during cleaning. My bet is that you have the SmartStart option turned on. With this option on, the CPAP can automatically start up when you inhale. Usually it takes a healthy inhalation to automatically start up the CPAP with this option on. However, the pressure differential caused by the SoClean might sometimes also be enough to activate your CPAP. You can turn this option off as follows: The SmartStart option is a "hidden" option in the Clinical Menu (not generally meant for end user access). This can be accessed by holding down the Home and menu dial simultaneously for 5 seconds. There are Youtube videos that demonstrate this.
Man this was a weird thread. I agree that several responses here were pretty dumbass.
