CPAP Machine Alarms

Post by Oompahdave » Fri Jun 09, 2017 5:03 pm

I have been using a Phillips CPAP machine for more than a month. I have not had a good night's sleep since. At 5:45 AM it beeps with 12 tones every morning like clockwork. The supplier insists that there is no alarm, but my wife and I are not imagining it. The supplier swapped the machine, but the new one does the same thing. Yesterday my doctor adjusted the maching and turned off alarms, but this morning the same beeping at 6:45 am. Anybody have the same problem and know what to do?

Exactly which model Phillips Respironics machine do you have?

Have you looked at the LCD screen when it beeps to see if there is any sort of message? If so, what does it say? If you haven't looked, next time it does it look at the screen and see if there is any message.

The basic Respironics machines like the cpap/apap and regular bilevel only have a leak alert and it can be turned off. That's the only alarm of sorts those machines have.
Now the higher end bilevel machines or specialty machines do have other alarms and some of them can be turned off and some can't.
