PSA is no longer considered a reasonable test
the only valid test for cancer if it is suspected is taking samples of tissue
and that has a 10-15 % chance of missing it
It doesn't work that way yet. Doctors will not even do a biopsy without showing an elevation in your PSA.
Apparently you haven't been to a doc.
PSA is a simple blood test and a biospy is an outpatient procedure requiring fasting, evacuation, and sedation; not to mention pain. Really, you want to do all that instead of a painless, non-fasting blood test? And you want to do that every year after you reach 40?
IF you pay out-of-pocket and find a doc who needs the boat payment maybe you can.
Not I said the cancer survivor.

A biopsy runs the chance of turning a Cancer loose, that could be treated safer. Jim
