Activa question
I have been using an Activa about eight weeks now and it has become my favorite. The past few nights however, I have been awakened with the sound of rushing air and the front of my mask has beenm falling apart. Where the blue gasket ? fits in it has been coming apart even though it feels snug when I put bit back in. Does anybody else have this happen? It's maddening as I have to wake up to either fix it or switch to a different mask, then I can't go to sleep.

I've heard of one or two others reporting that same kind of "coming apart" at the blue thingie. I don't remember their mentioning any kind of fix, though. I have two Activas (one "shallow" and one "standard") that stay together fine for me. Perhaps you could persuade whomever you bought your Activa from to swap it for another? (Not likely they'd do that, heh...but worth a try.)

Rock and roll,
I'd try gently bending out the two little blue catches with the mask apart and see if they snap in a little tighter when you put it back together. If you run them under hot water before you bend them it should lessen the chance of you breaking one off.
If all else fails there is always duct tape!
Also you can buy a new diaphram part online for $49.
Have you taken the mask apart alot?

Activa question
I have taken it apart only three times to clean. It is not the blue clips but the diaphram coming apart from the blue part thqat the clips are a part of. You would think as much as this stuff costs one would not have to resort to duct tape. Though I do have to tape the Nasal-aire together.

I personally don't think it's necessary to take a mask apart to clean it. I've never taken either of my Activas apart. Rinsing a mask out with water and gently (not scrubbing) cleaning (mild soap and water) any skin oil off the cushion surface seems to work out fine for me. If I feel it needs a more thorough cleaning than a simple "rinse out", I still leave the mask intact and just slosh it around in mild soapy water or a mild solution of vinegar/water. I really think that taking masks apart for cleaning makes it far more likely that some of them won't "go back together" as snugly as at first.

I agree with you thus only three timesa apart. But initially I was a victim of my DME and the instruction manual. We get such poor advise until finding these message boards
