Re: Airtouch F20
They were on back order when I ordered them. They shipped yesterday, and should arrive tomorrow. If they do, I will try one tomorrow night. I will post results as soon as I can.

Re: Airtouch F20
The new cushions just came in. I tried one on my mask, and could not get a good seal. My wife tried one on her mask, and really liked it. Her pressure (11 - 13) is quite a bit lower than mine is (17 - 20). I had put on a new head gear when I could not get a good seal. After going back to my old head gear, I managed to get it to seal. I will try the mask tonight. When I use the medium size head gear, I have the straps pulled back as far as I can in order to get a good seal. I tried a small size head gear, and could not get the mask to seal with the new style cushion. After sleeping with the small head gear and regular mask cushion last night, I ended up putting the medium size head gear back on the mask. I will try the new cushion tonight.

So still a suck it and see thing then, I was thinking the memory foam would work for most people especially if they're already using the F20 reasonably well. Would be interested to know how your wife gets on with it compared to the silicone cushion.Okie bipap wrote:The new cushions just came in. I tried one on my mask, and could not get a good seal. Re: Airtouch F20
I tried the cushion with my old head piece last night. At first, I had an acceptable leak rate, then had one very short period with a large leak. None of this interfered with my sleep. Around 2:30 in the morning, the leaks woke me up. I was getting an odd sounding mask fart which would occur any time I made the slightest movement with my face. I finally gave up around 3:30 and put the regular cushion on my mask and went back to sleep. No leaks from that point on until just before I got out of bed. My wife's mask leaks were no worse than they normally are.

Re: Airtouch F20
Not as promising a start as I'd hoped for.
I had an email from ResMed yesterday inviting me to put my name down for the trials - not coming to UK until later this year.

What about the level of comfort? Is it better in this regard as compared to traditional silicone cushions?Okie bipap wrote:My wife tried one on her mask
Re: Airtouch F20
Spent the first night with the air touch F20. All masks should be designed this way. I could not get the Airfit F20 to seal properly but the Air Touch I had no problem with. Had a great night sleep with no leaks

Re: Airtouch F20
Successful first night with AirTouch. Was able to loosen the straps a little so overall more comfortable with no change is leak rate, which was usually negligible with silicone version. The variability seems to come from how long it has been since I trimmed my beard. It creeps up towards the end of the two weeks.
Overall, pleased with new addition.

Re: Airtouch F20
I'm pretty sure the 30 days is mostly due to hygiene, since it says the cushion cannot be washed. I think it said to wipe it off, but didn't say with what. I'm assuming one of the mask wipes. I think a liner would probably extend it's life since you can remove and wash the liner (if it's a pad a cheek liner) or replace it, if not.

Re: Airtouch F20
I've had mine for about a week now, and I've had great success so far. It is way more comfortable for me than the regular silicone cushion, stays in place better, and I have far less leaks/skin irritation. I'm hoping it will last longer than 30 days. If I can get at least 60-90 days out of a cushion, I will be happy.

Re: Airtouch F20
A friend in the US kindly ordered and shipped me one of these cushions as it's not due for release in the UK until later in the year. It arrived today!
So I will be trying this out from tonight if you have any last minute tips? I have been using medical silicone tape on my face and nose bridge as the standard F20 tends to otherwise leave my skin dry and sore in some places. I was thinking I may be able to omit this with the memory foam but then again it could possibly prolong the life of the cushion?

Re: Airtouch F20
It was comfortable, although I did use the medical silicone tape, so at the moment I can't tell much difference between this and the standard mask. Ironically my AHI was 2.2, exactly the same as it was the night before with the silicone cushion.
I will try tonight without the silicone tape and see how it feels and works.
