I wonder if an airsense 10 elite motor would work in an aircurve 10 asv? They seem about the same.

I vote yes, iirc, I've done that before, but with S9 machines.

Swapped in to the Aircurve 10 ASV the low hour clean Airsense Elite motor, but it didn't fare so well. It came close, though.

It could hit the high pressures but it wasn't getting there fast enough, and I could feel it the first night. When forcing central apneas, its initial pressure ramp up cycle was imperceptible compared to the Aircurve motors' ramp up cycles. Took it apart several times, same result with forced centrals.

Finally put the 'cleaned up' dirty Aircurve 10 ASV motor back in and works perfectly.

The motors weigh the same and have the same dimensions. Oh well.

My bet is talc or cornstarch. lots of people use it to prevent chafing. My mothers room had a thick layer on the back sides of hanging picture frames when we cleaned out her house.

I like the talc, cornstarch and drywall joint compound dust theories.
