Hello,
I am a new user of a new cpap user. I have a Res Med AirSense 10 autoset and ResMed AirFit nasal mask. I have been unable to download the SleepHead software on my chromebook.
I am a thin woman, 53 years old. Mother had sleep apnea, brother has sleep apnea.
I am finding the mask to be fine at this point. I do not have it set to ramp. My pressure is set 4-20.
I settle into the rhythmn of the machine. As soon as I fall to sleep, I am quickly woken up by the air (which is making me feel like I have to burp). I am wondering if this is the normal feeling upon falling asleep or perhaps I am experiencing cental apneas. I don't see how I can ever get used to the feeling of being jolted awake like this.
With the simple MyAir app, I used the machine for a whopping total of 2 hours and 11 minutes. It showed 11.4 events per hour. Do "events" mean apnea events or could it include waking up?

Sleepyhead will not work on a Chromebook, only windows and apple OS are supported. Did you have a range of pressures on your prescription? as it is, your machine is running wide open on a wide of range as it has. Without the ability to see what is happening it's pretty hard to say which way you should narrow the ranges.
The feeling of burpiness is caused by aerophagia, swallowing air. This type of machine does not really have a rhythm, it adjusts pressure not flow to what it calculates what is needed to keep you airway open.
The MyAir app measures how long you have the mask on and the machine operating, along with AHI. Does not give you information sufficient to modify the machine settings. It looks like you took it off after 3 hours. You need to leave it on all the time you are in bed. There is no way to tell if you are having centrals or not with the information you have available. Is there anyway you can get to a windows or apple computer to be able to install Sleepyhead? ONe other way ios to go to your DME and have them read the memory card and look at the details to see what's up.
It would be a real shot in the dark, I would try setting the lower limit to 6 or 7 to see if that feels more comfortable. At any rate, the 11.4 says you are not being treated effectively and you should contact your DME and get you system adjusted to provide adequate treatment.
Also, what is the leak data showing?

I had that when I first started, also the other end. It pumped me full. I'm guessing it was 2-3 weeks

that is not true, it works on pretty much any OS that has QT, including linux,TASmart wrote: Sleepyhead will not work on a Chromebook, only windows and apple OS are supported.
Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Re: Newbie....need help
Thanks for the correction. Thought it was OS specific.
