What color makes anybody sleep better

Travelodge carried out a study, looked into 2,000 homes across the country to investigate the influence of color on the quality of sleep. They found that people sleeping in rooms decorated in calm colors, such as yellow, blue or green, received the best night's sleep.

Thrilling. Will rush right out and redecorate.

Thanks DS, I needed a good laugh.

Ok, in analyzing Bobby's theory, since I have had "narcoleptic" like sleep attacks long for a long time, it sounds like I should paint a room of my apartment a wild crazy color, right? Maybe what you posted would work.

Paint the bedroom in one of the colors Bobby suggests and don't enter it until I am ready to go to sleep. Maybe Julie can help me redecorate the room.

Who knew the answer could be so simple.

Don't need to repaint my bedroom, when I close my eyes to go to sleep, I can't see what color it is.
Needed a good laugh this morning, thanks everyone .

How is yellow a calm color???
When my eyes are closed and the lights are off- what difference does it make?

Keep in mind that the color in the home needs to flow ... into the bedroom. That's the feng shui way. You are very welcome for this public service announcement.

If you are bothered by this thread, there is always the Apnea Board.

Yellow has never been a soothing color to me.
We once lived in a house that had previously been occupied by a large family.
The finished third floor had been painted urine yellow, and the entire space was permeated with urine,
as that is where the youngest stashed their nasty undies.
I have never been able to tolerate yellow, and my only yellow clothing is a pair of socks. (I'm working on it)
No house we have owned has escaped my paint roller-- I paint over any offending wall.

I'm damaged forever, my parents painted my bedroom Chartreuse. Mom hated it but they bought the paint, the vomit room. Good side was my huge Honeysuckle bush outside my bedroom window, the smell was soothing. Jim

Nan beat me to it and said exactly what I was thinking.
"Dark" (as in checking the inside of my eyelids for leaks) is what makes me sleep better.
