ResMed AirSense 10: Won't let me set the time!

Post by robo2084 » Sat Apr 15, 2017 2:22 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset. I was trying to sue the sleepyhead software but noticed that the time zones were messed up. In the maintenance menus I was able to find the time set option. The problem is, whenever I try to set the time to the correct time (earlier than the time it is set for) the machine gives me an error "cannot set time earlier than current time"! Oddly I can only change it to a time in the future! Has anyone else run into this? It is maddening!!!

you can't set the time backwards when there is already data in that days period, which is from noon to noon, machine time.

try setting it back just before you go to bed, maybe you'll have rolled over to a clean 'day' by then.

your other alternatives are to just live with it, or to erase all data, set the time, and then go forward.

Thanks! I guess another option is to take the card out for a night and lose that data, but then I'd have a "clean" day? Or is the machine too smart for that?

The machine is too smart for that. When I change the time on our machines, I make the change around 5:00 or 6:00 in the evening before the machines are started for the evening. The machine records data if the card is in or out. When the card is out, the amount of data that is saved is much more than what is saved on the internal memory.

Why would you want to sue sleepyhead? That is maybe the most generous thing I have ever seen.

that is not an option, the machine has internal data storage.

I really think he meant "setup" Sleepyhead. Don't you just love spell correction?

which way do you need to move it
what zone are you in
what zone is the machine set for
The machine has no time zone settings

Insert a different SD card that either has old or no data on it and change time. Then reinsert SD card that has all your historical data. No need to erase anything

Has nothing to do with SD card when the machine won't let a person go backwards with the time.
It's because of the data stored in the internal memory of the machine..It will still give the same prompt with a new SD card or even no SD card.
It simply won't let you go back in time if there is already data recorded in the machines internal storage memory that is in the time frame for the machine's reporting sessions.

If you did this and it worked...it worked because by the time you tried a new blank SD card you were no longer trying to go back into time where there was already data stored in the machine. Had nothing to do with the SD card.

This is incorrect, the SD card has nothing to do with the issue. The issue is the compliance data internal to the machine.
