Amara view airleaks/Hard time in falling asleep
Re: Amara view airleaks/Hard time in falling asleep
I've used the Amara View for a little over a year. Mostly few leaks, but when it does leak it can be frustrating, especially if it leaks near my eyes. Begin with a clean face and cushion. I use a pampers wipe on both my face and cushion. I then add a bit of water to the wipe and wipe my face and cushion again and have them both a bit wet when I put the mask on. I feel this helps improve the seal. Here's my crazy solution for those rare nights when I can't seem to get it to seal correctly. I use small strips of the food wrap Press'n Seal. I cut a few strips maybe 3 inches long by 1 inch wide. pressing half to the cushion and half to my face. The slight adhesive is usually enough to solve the leak and it's easy on the sensitive area near my eyes. And it's cheap. I've never seen it recommended on this site, but it works for me. It speaks to the resourcefulness of cpap users just desperate to get some sleep. hope this helps.

A mask liner works wonders for leakage from the Amara View.
