Mask causing redness all of a sudden
Mask causing redness all of a sudden
I've been using a Cpap for about 3 years. Same mask Resmed Airfit 10. I just replaced it about 4 months ago with no problems. These last 2 days it has been causing redness and dryness on my face wear the mask covers. I've never had this problem or any other skin problem. I wear no makeup or anything else on my face. I have no idea why this is happening.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Mask causing redness all of a sudden
Are you using anything to clean the mask with?
Could the mask be moving? If it moves with every breath it will run many thousands of times each nite.
Has there been a weight loss or gain?

I assume that this is not a new mask! Even if it's supposedly identical, it might not be.

Do you have the P10 or the F10? There is a different mask in your equipment profile.Lostfan1 wrote:Same mask Resmed Airfit 10.
Is the problem where the mask touches the face? Or, is it everywhere the mask covers.Lostfan1 wrote:causing redness and dryness on my face wear the mask covers.

No weight changes, haven't cleaned it with anything.

I have the F10. I need to change that in my profile how do I do that? It leaves a red mark everywhere the mask covers. Maybe something to do with the humidifier?

I wouldn't think so. If it gets worse or lasts more than five days, I would see my GP or dermatologist.Lostfan1 wrote:It leaves a red mark everywhere the mask covers. Maybe something to do with the humidifier?

Wash all components! This is just in case something became contaminated with an allergen. I don't think that this is your problem, but let's rule it out.
