Can't Contact Suppler

Post by john6012 » Sun Mar 26, 2017 8:11 am

I received my CPAP the 22nd for Dec 2016 from my supplier and have been using a CPAP for several years. However I have been having problems with mask leakage and thought do ask my supplier if they had any suggestions. I called them asking for my rep and was on hold from 30 minutes and then I hung up and called back explaining that I waited 30 min and the rep didn't pick up the phone and asked her to have my rep call me back that afternoon.
I received no return call so I emailed the corporate HQ telling them about the situation and after a month haven't heard from them.
I saved my leakage problem with some cloth covers for the mask I purchased not EBAY, they work Great! But my supplier is the pits, after issuing the CPAP and walking out their door they apparently are through with me except I did get a couple of calls wanting me to OK delivery of masks.
Is this typical? I think not or these companies couldn't meet Medicare requirements. What do I do to receive advise or additional supplies if needed?

Change DME supplier?????
You can get masks and other supplies from a different supplier from whomever supplied the machine. You don't have to use the place that supplied the machine if you don't want to.
It will involve the new supplier needing some information from your doctor.

Check to see if someone else in your area accepts Medicare.

I agree with Pugsy...DUMP THEM There are many others that will be very happy to take your money. Some may not be close to you but will mail supplies to you.

Google Verushealthcare dot com
If you have Medicare Verus is one of the few online suppliers I know who will bill Medicare.
For readers who don't have any insurance cpap dot com is a good choice for price and service they just don't bill any insurance.

In addition to entering your zip code, you can increase the search radius if you are in a sparsely populated area.
I have gone "on the road" and saved huge moolah. I made a 120 mile round trip for my hearing aid.

During your move to another supplier, please take the time to go to the Medicare site and file a complaint about the supplier. Give dates of contact and who you contacted. Can't get rid of the jerks without people actually filing complaints.

I am glad I did a quick search and found this post because I was about the post the same issue! My medical supplier is "ok" but they suck when it comes to reordering supplies. They do not want you to come to the store to reorder supplies, but they never answer the phone when I call. Are there any other online medical suppliers that accept insurance other than the one mentioned above?

Yes, there are several others but we don't have anyway to know if your insurance will work with them or not.
You will need to contact your insurance and get a list of the suppliers that they have a contract with and then see if they offer online purchases.
