S9 Autoset "High Leak"?

Post by countryboy » Fri Mar 24, 2017 8:10 am

I've had my S9 for about 3 years now without any issues until this morning. When I woke up I didn't immediately take off my Nuance Pro mask but kept it on for a few more minutes when I noticed a decrease in air pressure. I shut off the S9 and turned it back on several times but still not blowing like it should. After ramping up to my 15 air pressure setting the display shows "High Leak please check system setup and connections."

I unhooked the main hose to see if it's blowing normally from the unit and it wasn't. Since the hose is connected to the humidifier I disconnected it and connected the hose directly to the main unit (S9) but it still isn't blowing normally.

I can hear air coming from within the S9 unit like there is a leak internally. Any suggestions?

there's not really anywhere internally for air to leak, unless you somehow got a hole in the rather thick silicone gaskets.

I'm probably hearing things then or grasping for an answer. Thanks for the link but I don't feel comfortable taking thing apart like that and even knowing what I'm doing.

I was hoping for maybe an explanation what the issue might be. I put a call in to our local DME but I live in a rural area and they don't have access to a RT on a daily basis... he comes down maybe 3 times a week.

make a manometer and check the pressure. (google it)
