Looking at Online CPAP suppliers

Post by drsoles » Fri Mar 24, 2017 5:52 am

Does anyone have recommendations on good online CPAP suppliers? I was with Lincare (but my account with them was canceled due to not ordering supplies often enough) and tried a local supplier that claimed to offer online ordering and supplies at their local stores but they were not actually accepting online orders or offering supplies at their local stores. This company has turned out to be incompetent and I have to call them to order supplies and they are worse than McDonalds when it comes to getting an order correct. For example, last year I ordered one mask and 1 filter. I was billed to my credit card $400 and received several nasal pillows that I didn't order and several filters in addition to the one filter and mask that I intended to order. They refuse to take my credit card off of their records and I'm tired of dealing with them. I tried to get set up with Lincare which is a company I worked with in the past but they never called me after my doctors office tried to refer me to them. I have a choice of this company (Alpine Home Medical) or Apria that I've heard plenty of bad things about. I'm looking for a company who is competent and allows me to order online rather than having to call them on the phone and trust that the person I'm speaking with is able to get my order correct. I'm also looking for a company that doesn't try to call me every month selling me a "service plan" where they send me supplies automatically, try to get me to order supplies I don't need, selling a plan where they will send me distilled water monthly for a small fee, sell me items such as a $250 CPAP pillow that I can buy for much cheaper elsewhere, etc. I prefer a company that doesn't autobill to credit cards and doesn't require a credit card to be in their files. About the only thing I need a DME for is for the supplies correct? The only other thing I can think of for needing a DME is if the machine breaks down but I don't trust that my current DME will be able to fix it. I own my CPAP machine so I wouldn't have to be set up with a new machine. One person from my DME claimed that I will be charged a $200 early termination fee for leaving before June but I'm willing to pay the early termination fee even though from what I have on my contract there is no mention of an early termination fee. Are there any good reputable online DME providers? I'm willing to pay out-of-pocket if my insurance company doesn't consider them to be a member of their network. How would I go about setting up an account with an online DME provider? Are there any reasons why I would want to have a DME provider that is nearby instead of one that is online and not around my local area?

I don't understand why you insist on ordering on line vs by phone....I order supplies once a year....sometimes a second time if an emergency arises.

I don't understand why you don't understand that somebody may prefer to order stuff (including CPAP supplies) online.

But anyway, for the initial OP's question: "I don't always order CPAP supplies ... but when I do, I order from our forum sponsor at www.cpap.com"

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

To answer your question--- https://www.cpap.com is a good supplier. I've talked to them on the phone several times, and they are efficient and my order arrives quickly and correct.

I don't see how they could charge that just for not ordering supplies. Do they think they are a cell phone provider?
I don't order supplies from the DME I got my cpap from.

Besides the above mentioned cpap dot com if you are using insurance Verus has been good to me. Call them or setup an online thing with them. Last time they sent me an email to got to their website you just select what you want. In my case they already had my insurance then the supplies show up at your door.

But hey I've never had the opportunity to have distilled delivered - what a money maker eh.
