Are you saying that you are hearing air/mask sounds or machine sounds?

One night I was in bed, all hooked up, machine on. Airsense 10, FFM. My wife walked up next to the bed and asked me if the machine was on because she couldn't hear it. I can't either. That's how quiet it is.

Statistically speaking, every once in a while there will be a defective one.

I can't believe that that was the problem. Something else had to change.

Unless it was the sound of those electrons running up and down the extension cord. But they tiptoed along the machine cord.

The technician corrected something that was set wrong when they gave you the machine. And, in a cya coverup, didn't tell you.

I just thought of something. Those who have noise problems, do you have hard surface floors, e.g., wood, tile, etc.? Surfaces that reflect noise. We have carpet that absorbs sound.

The Air Sense 10 AutoSet is rated at the same Db level as the Dream Station. Neither are silent but there a couple things that my wife and I have done to alleviate the noise (the higher the pressure the noisier it will be).

1. I put the machine on the lowest level of my night stand, which is almost on the floor level and that helps a lot.
2. She downloaded a free White Noise app on her iPhone which generates a soft white noise that makes the human ear cancel out the CPAP noise.

Both of these has made a HUGE difference.
