Hi,
I am new here, although a 5 year user of Resmed S9 autoset pressure with a max of 17. I have started having some difficulty with pressure from the mask straps on the back of my head. I am using the Mirage Quattro mask. I am getting muscle pain and headaches in the location of the lower rear strap on the left side. Moderate pressure is required to seal the mask against leaks. I have learned to be careful not to tighten the straps any more than necessary to seal the mask. The cushion is changed monthly. In spite of taking care, it seems there is just too much pressure on the relatively thin strap.
Is any other sort of strap arrangement available that spreads the pressure over a wider area of the back of my head, perhaps some sort of mesh or net where the force is spread over the entire back of my head? I can't really think of another solution to this problem.
Thanks,
Lifespeed

Thanks for the recommends. I was unaware of the softcap headgear, that looks promising. It looks as though it would distribute the pressure much more evenly. The pads are nice as well.Pugsy wrote:I don't know if this works for your mask or not but you might take a look.
