Maybe I'll try pulling the hose up and back.
That sounds like a nice set-up, and I can move my cord up to another grommet on the fishing pole.

Re: Homemade FX hose tamer
My hanger is a swinging planter bracket with a duct-taped skinny end of a fishing pole (oops!--not yet retired) At least he knows where to find it. About half of my FX slinky tube lays on me, but my slimline is mostly on or behind the scrunchie. Not as high, but it keeps it out of the mini-blinds.

Re: Wheres the beef? (Energy)
I still believe that a great deal depends on adrenaline levels, but constant high levels will kill you. And, apparently it doesn't take much to affect that. My untreated AHI was only 13, and I was waking up so revved I couldn't get back to sleep, getting up at 5 or six because that's when I woke WIT...

Re: My S9 Slimline is KAPUT!
My slimline hose broke next to the connection after just 102 days use, but my DME said ResMed sent a few to replace defective ones they had made. I got a free replacement. I think it's a little stiffer than the original. Probably not buying Rescue tape--horribly expensive! I am reinforcing the joint...

I try to pull up a corner of the bedding onto my husband's shoulder when I sleep on that side. He complains about the cold air.

Re: Getting the right size mask
My big disappointment with the Mirage Quattro (and Micro to a lesser extent, was that even with the forehead brace, the mask frames rock on my cheekbones, preventing a seal at either the bridge of the nose or at the bottom of the mask--I 'get' to pick which. You would think that at those prices, the...

Re: Dual Tests
We all do what we have to in order to live better by sleeping better. Sleep is worth a lot; and the folks selling it know that full well. Many investors look to the big sleep tech companies for their fortunes. Their numbers are going up. Capitalism. Competition. It is what it is. --better to light a...

Re: Reasons sleep is unsatisfying on Cpap - Poll
Thanks, spinner, but the shape of the liberty (small) curves out so far off my chin, I don't know if I could trust a Hybrid--isn't it just about the same thing? I think I gotta check the other providers here in town for try-ons. We have several, but BCBSNE won't tell you which ones have CPAP equipme...

Re: What tape do you use and why?
1-1/2" blue painter's tape cut in a truncated 'v' ( \_/) works most of the time for me;
With micropore, I have to weaken the adhesive by sticking it on my hand and peeling it off 2 or 3 times.
Otherwise, it is too painful to remove.

Why can't they make more sizes of masks?--I would love to use a hybrid (no taping), but the Liberty just does not fit and I can't even try on a Hybrid at my DME. Faces come in more sizes than shoes--and shoes cost a lot less! We are being ripped off! Totally! {{{Update: shortly after this discussion...

Re: Sinus Irritation with Nasal Pillows
My sinus irritation disappeared day one.
I had to tweak the level--one too high=rainout;
one too low=snot fountain all the next day.
Does that make sense?

I know I've been accused of looking for the worst in people; but have you ever considered the possibility that the mess-up was NOT an accident? Does anyone know who to contact to get that looked into? This might NOT be an isolated incident. If this is a pattern, people may have been hurt, and others...

Re: Discussion of Small Jaws as Cause of Obstructive Sleep Apnea
I remember the very first thing my orthodontist said to me. "The other dentist shouldn't have removed my impacted 12-year molars; I could have made room for them." --And had it gone that way, the Quattro and the Liberty may have actually FIT me; or I may not even need CPAP. (insert expletive here)
