Mirage Quattro Mask vs Hybrids?

Post by Yayoe10 » Mon Mar 13, 2017 11:02 am

Hello everyone . Been doing cpap therapy for a couple months now . It's slowly has been helping but I would feel the difference. Only thing is now I'm guessing my Mask is really worn down or something because these past 2-3 weeks my leaks have been getting higher and higher especially these past 4 days it's been bad above 60 L/min . I have the resumed airsense 10 so I don't have all the detail graphs everyone has to find out what time exactly the leaks start. But my question is I want a new Mask I currently have the airfit10 but don't really like it and was debating on quattro Mask or a hybrid. Wanted to hear people's opinion who have used either or. Nasal masks are out of the question as I'm a heavy mouth breather and have nasal issues.

The hybrids have less surface area to have to seal...nothing over the nose.

Have you looked at the Respironics Amara View...while it is shown at cpap.com in the full face section it actually is sort of a hybrid IMHO?

Yes....I have tried it and in fact I own one. It's the only full face mask I have ever actually been able to sleep the night through with.
I don't like anything on the bridge of my nose area so that means I don't have much choice in a full face mask.
I am a nasal pillow mask person...but I kept the Amara View just to have in case I just couldn't use my nasal pillow mask for some reason.
I tried it for about a week..I can successfully use it and decided to keep it for emergency use.
That's saying something for me...I don't keep anything that I experiment with unless I can successfully use it.

I have been using the Amara View for several months. The other FFMs I have tried did not want to seal around my nose. I have a very narrow bridge. One thing to note, all three sized cushions are the same size. The only differences in the various sizes is the depth of the cushion. Make sure you print out the sizing guide and use ti before ordering the mask. On most FFMs I take a small, but with the Amara View, I take a large due to the size of my nose.
