Re: Should I adjust time on my CPAP machine?
Pugs, my Dreamstation seemed to have handled the spring forward ok. There's no gap in the data in SH, the time just goes from 1:59 to 3:00 am seamlessly. Don't know what it does going off of DST, though. That's obviously more tricky since you'd have data with duplicate time stamps for an hour.

Re: Should I adjust time on my CPAP machine?
My Dreamstation auto-adjusted to DST last night (well, at least Sleepyhead's interpretation of the data did), so it seems reasonably likely that the Resmed machine's do as well. Someone with one of those machines will chime in, I'm sure. I'll check my machine here in a bit, but I assume that the mac...

Re: Sleepyhead Softw and AirCurve10ST
You''ll need to buy a card and put it in. SD card transfer is the only way you can get the data to sleepyhead.lwieland11 wrote:There is no SD card in mine. There is a place for it like there was with the AirSense10 but my AirCurve10ST does not have a card.

Re: New user introduction- full face mask fit issue
Due to the shape of my nose (a narrow bridge), I had a hard time getting the simplus to seal around my nose and not blow air into my eyes. I would place the mask a little lower on my nose than what the fitting instructions called for. I would then place two pieces of tape from the mask (around wher...

Re: New User 2nd post
I really don't know how to shorten the ramp time, maybe I'll just try without it. So 12 is not very high? I will get the kind of machine and add it to my profile. Do I get the collar off of the doctor, or buy it at a drug store. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk The ramp is just for your comfort. ...

Re: New user introduction- full face mask fit issue
Certainly try the suggestions Pugsy gave on general mask fit. I just wanted to mention I didn't think I could do a nasal or nasal pillow mask, but proved myself wrong on that. So, just keep it in mind as an option you may want to try at some point in the future. Since you've got facial hair (and pre...

Re: Sleep Mask with cpap?
Thanks Jay & Linuxman (nice name btw, I'ma a CentOS guy myself haha'), I've tried a nasal mask + chinstrap / tape in the past, sadly I've never had any luck with them... I tend to be a mouth breather as I find my nose is always congested (I've also tried using a neti pot... works for the first few ...

Re: Falling Asleep Before Getting Mask On
You put the mask on before you ever lay down in bed. Mine goes on while I sitting on the edge of the bed before I ever lay down or even crawl under the covers. Then maybe a couple of quick adjustments once I lay down and then if I fall asleep earlier than I expect to...doesn't matter. Crawling into...

Re: Sleep Mask with cpap?
I would have recommended the View based on the subject line, but you've already tried that. Are you sure you have to have an FFM? I thought I had to as well when I started. Given your situation it might be worth experimenting with a nasal mask, or nasal pillows. I'll second Jay's recommendation for ...

Re: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and CPAP, APAP machines
There are some possibilities to improve CPAP response and outcomes I think, but AI probably isn't the right term to use, in part because AI strictly speaking is an abstract notion. There are elements of AI related research that I think could possibly provide some improvement. Machine learning, an ev...

Re: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and CPAP, APAP machines
Now I am reminded why I don't post very often here. However, in response to some of these postings. 1. AI is a practical technology that is here now and is being implemented in many things. For years it didn't make much progress, but in the last five years or so it is really taking off. As a techno...

Re: Asking primary dr for prescription
My PCP wrote my prescription, but with some guidance (and a canned cpap prescription form) from the home sleep study company that he used. On the prescription form he filled out they had a selection for "99 months" for the expiration. The form also said on it that that selection meant "forever" in t...

Re: Blue Cross FEDERAL
Does anyone have Blue Cross Federal? My DME does not believe that I don't have a minimum number of years before I can replace my machine. They are investigating. In 2015 I got a Resmed CPAP machine and my AHI was 1 or 2 for almost a year. Then it went up to 4 - 6 the last 6 months. I have experimen...

Re: How many on disability?
I think you should put your energy into understanding your issues, and fixing them, not on getting disability. If you've been treating your sleep apnea for 14 years without results, you're either not getting adequate therapy or sleep apnea is not your only issue.

Re: Remove air filter, feel better
unless the air in your room is highly filtered, all you're doing is harming your machine by running it without a filter. ever look inside a computer that's been running for a while? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/8L70VEHF-34/hqdefault.jpg that's what you're turning your cpap into. The filter is for the air...
