The ResMed AirSense 10 is a great machine...just make sure you get the full data model.
The model names on the ResMed machines are easily seen on the face of the machine.

AirSense 10 CPAP....this is the bare bones basic machine that has only a very limited data collection ...Avoid it.

AirSense 10 Elite...this is a full data fixed cpap machine...one mode of operation...it's acceptable
but the
AirSense 10 AutoSet
or AutoSet for Her
is more better because not only is it full data but it has 2 (3 for the for her) modes of operation....so like 2 machines in one.

Software is available and free

And 38 per hour earns you the "severe" category but there's more to it than just events per hour. There is how long the events last...they have to last 10 seconds to earn a flag but they can last up to a minute or more for some people. Obviously those big long ones are very serious even if a person doesn't have very many of them. Then there is the effect they have on sleep itself...causing either full blown awakenings or little arousals that we may or may not remember...they all mess with our sleep quality and you gotta have good quality sleep for the restorative powers of sleep to work their magic. Don't get good sleep and we feel like crap.

When you get your machine, you won't have a box on you chest, an oximeter sensor clipped to you finger, or tubes up your nose. If you get a nasal pillow mask, you'll just have a soft vinyl thingy held against you nostrils.

I've never had a problem sleeping in any position. The only issue is the hose sometimes getting in my way when I change positions.

You need to update your facts a bit: now, the Autoset model has a comfort and a standard response mode, in APAP mode, so it has technically 3 modes of operations (CPAP, standard APAP, comfort/slower response APAP)

Really. I didn't see anything that was incorrect in what I said. I didn't go in real deep about what each mode does because I was extremely short on time..so I gave the quick notes version and it was correct.
They don't need updating if what I said was correct...and it was correct.

I figured if more details were needed then I would explain further should a question be asked.

Perhaps in the future should you see a response that you feel might need further explanation...maybe just go ahead and offer the extra explanation instead of telling me what to do. It's rude and doesn't set to well with me.

The Autoset model has 2 modes: Autoset and CPAP. So technically the Autoset has 2 modes.
The Autoset For Her has 3 modes: Autoset, CPAP, and Autoset for Her.
If you have any documentation that the regular Autoset model has 3 modes please link to the documentation.
