If a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet has a SN of 23151270498, how do I determine the date of manufacture (month/year preferably)? Is other information from the tag needed?
Also, what should the software versions be if up to date?

Re: manufacturing date query
What I found is this:
The serial number tells place and year of manufacture:
i.e. 2211xxxxxxx
22 = Australia
23 = Singapore
11 = 2011
xxxxxxx = Serial number
I'm not sure we can tell the month. The SN probably tells ResMed but i don't know that we can get that info.
On the SW there was a humidifier upgrade in 2015. Here are a links talking about that. http://www.rmdassets.com/airsolutions/a ... %20V15.pdf
Toward the last of this link it gives the SW numbers of machines manufactured in 2016. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=104355&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Someone is offering a "brand new" ResMed AS10 AutoSet for sale @ $200. My thought was to get it as a travel/backup machine, but it is about a hundred miles away and I don't particularly want the drive to check it out. That may be what I will have to do, though - assuming I believe her characterization of the machine.

Re: manufacturing date query
Check the hours on the machine by going into the ABOUT screen. I bought am AUTO 10 from a guy that worked for a DME for $200 that was about new with new hose, serial number cleared in MyAir and 200 hours. So, they can be had for that price. Many people say new machine only used 2 months. I just turned in my rental when I had to pay full rental price because the deductible is not met for this year. I got a request in to my guy for another 10 AUTO for backup when he finds one.
