Dreamstation segment ending

Quick question, hopefully. Last night I had a couple of segments end and new ones start for no apparent reason. When I looked at the flow I noticed a couple of gaps one lasted less than 1 second, the other 15 seconds. There's just a gap on all the charts. This has happened before but not usually more than once a night. Is this something Respironics does or is the machine developing a glitch?

They show on Encore also.

if it looks like the pressure didn't start over at minimum, it's a data recording glitch.

if it started over at minimum, maybe the machine shut off and restarted.

It's possessed.

Did it record more than one session (SleepyHead sessions below Statistics column) when this happened or
is it just the graph showing the break?

It showed a new segment both times on both programs. The third one was me.

Interesting. I have been trialing a possessed PR S1 560 that was doing the same thing but 200 plus times a night.

Do you have Auto On...set to On?
Do you have Auto Off...set to On or Off?

If Auto On is set to On it could be a momentary power blip causing the machine to turn off and then come right back on. Clocks in your house show evidence of a power blip maybe? My microwave clock is always the indicator for me. That would be the first suspect but if all the clocks are fine...then something else.

The machine I was was trialing had it happen when Auto On was both on and Off so if it was a power blip and it really turned off then it shouldn't turn back on again but the software data shows it "came back on"...so it couldn't have really been off despite the session break and the break in therapy on the graphs.
I suspect some sort of software issue but unsure as to exact cause.

At any rate...keep an eye on it and if it starts showing up frequently and Auto On is OFF...and you can't blame it on a power blip you may really have a possessed machine.
This one (that I was trialing) was also dropping past usage...it lost all the last week of July data that was initially on it.
I tested this with a blank card and compared it to initial card contents with software verification that the data is gone.

Maybe it was just a power blip....

Hey, I packed up the 560 yesterday to be sent off to the hospital so I was back to my S9 last night and the aliens don't mess it it because it's no fun...so I guess they headed over to Omne's house last night to work their mischief.

The one that was a second is the one that confused me the most. Even with Auto On I don't see how it could go off and restart that quickly. I'll keep an eye on it and if it increases I'll spend more time on figuring it out.

even the 15 second one is too fast for a stop and restart, unless the DS is much more responsive with auto off than the system one machines were (it'd take them a minute to shut off)
