I just picked one up today. After trying the men's and the women's, the men's worked better for me at high pressure; the women's leaked too much around the eyes. The DME person stated that most of her female customers are preferring the men's version because the women's is too narrow.

I'm new to the community and have only been on CPAP therapy for about 40 days, but have tried at least a few masks in order to find something long term.

When I first started using the F20 I had terrible sores and pain on the bridge of my nose. The Quattro Air given to me the night of my sleep study initially was more comfortable, but still gave me at least a sore on one side when I would inevitability turn to one side in my sleep. The F10 and Quattro Air use the same face seal, they just have different head gear. I find the F10 horrible because it puts way too much pressure on the bridge of the nose without the Quattro forehead restraint or the more cushioned bridge that the F20 has.

Because of the unending nose bridge sores, I started using the Amara View, which is much more minimal, and without the bridge issue, but is very uncomfortable after a few hours of use. I've woken up late to work because of throwing it off in the middle of the night.

Also, my events have increased to 3-5 per hour as I've gotten used to my therapy (using a ResMed AirSense10 Autoset at . My leak rate and event rate was lowest with the F20, despite the soreness and I can tell in the morning that I feel more rested.

I have a large head (7 3/4 to 7 7/8 hat size), which I believe is the problem with nose pain and the F20 for us big headed people. The headgear does not loosen enough, causing the mask to press harder on the bridge than on the cheek portion, or so I thought. In desperation, I loosened the top straps down into the Velcro area, and the whole experience changed. Because of the design of the seal, once air flows into the mask, air pressure does the most at holding the seal to your face. I'd advise loosening the mask as much as possible, only tightening it enough to ensure the cheek seal stays when rolling around. Because of the surface tension and large seal on the bridge, you probably want that as loose as possible. It's definitely better to have the tension on your cheeks rather than your unpadded nose.

I wear a large in all of these masks, other than the Amara view. It's true that the F20 almost goes into your eyes, but I think they intended the bridge to have that big "pillow" there. I wake up now with almost no marks anywhere on my face. I really like this mask.

Additional Comments: Have also used Simplus, Quattro Air, Airsense F10, Amara View, and a couple nasal masks (can't use because I'm a mouth breather).
