Mouth Guard for teeth grinding and CPAP mask?

Has anyone used a mouth guard for teeth grinding with a CPAP mask? I use the Dreamwear mask and think I need a mouth guard to help with teeth grinding.
I am concerned about keeping my mouth closed and tongue on the roof of my mouth.
Any success with both? Any suggestions about the type of mouth guard I should ask my dentist about?

No just heat in hot water and bite and forum to your teeth ...

I moved my lower jaw froward a little (align your front teeth ) ... helps keep your airway open

I have discomfort in my top front 2 incisors teeth in the morning. Im pritty sure it's from my chin strap. Taping helped but I'd rather not do that if possible.

Only you will know if it will help you ... but for a couple of dollars it is worth a try.

I had my dentist make me a mouth guard for my grinding of teeth. After several broken teeth that started after I started on CPAP. I use a full face mask and I guess trying to keep my mouth closed has caused me to grind my teeth. When this mouth guard has reached the end of its life cycle I'm going to try the over the counter sets.

I use an upper and a lower. I originally just had an upper but noticed my teeth were nothing so I got the lower down. Mine are molded to for my teeth by the dentist. So they double as a retainer and a mouth guard. I also have a cpap

Just an FYI - generic mouth guards can cause TMJ like symptoms. If it hurts, discontinue use until you talk to either your dentist or physician.

Thank you everyone. I picked up two 97 cent mouth guards in the sporting goods section of Walmart.
Molded one to my teeth in the hot water and have been using it every night for a few nights.
The guard seems to be doing what I wanted by preventing me from grinding my teeth at night.
No adverse side effects.
I would suggest trying this method for anyone else having the same problem.

Been using a mouth guard for years, first an expensive one from the dentist till my lab chewed it up and now a cheap one from walmart. Glad you found one you like and it's working.
