I hope you were someplace warm and sunny! That'll improve the winter doldrums. I am hoping for some kind of breakthru with the mftrs in regard to battery capabilities for the different machines. I am already set with my PB 420E/smaller size, etc. for traveling. I will be away for 4 days, but not far from home. But I dug in for it, and actually bought a backup entire set up, apap, htd humidifier, hose, swift mask, so that I'm set and ready to go. Also a copy of my scrip.

But getting off the track, you'll find a lot of good answers, trips, fun stuff (esp. from our friend Liam) and some common thread questions/answers that you can print out, read over at your leisure, as you try to adjust.

It's a challenge nightly for some, for others, easier, some frustration, but the good part of this board, its open 24/7, and you'll feel a whole lot better once you click in and read.

Good Luck!

I am very aware of the fatigue factor right now. We were in a resort that didn't even have a tv in the room and I'd still wake up tired. I like to travel and hope to find some answere to questions I have about camping and sleeping with the machines. I'm just a few weeks from seeing my doctor and hope that I can find a good place to shop for my perscription. Thanks again,

Have faith in future medical research!

Take it one night at a time to give the medical researchers some time
to perfect two new systems. One is an electrical device which jolts the
muscles back open when they start to relax closed. My research victims have been complaining that the shocks wake them up, though. The other is like a
heart artery stent. You swallow a slinky which surrounds a balloon. You just inflate the balloon to place the slinky in place, and then deflate the baloon when you are ready to sleep. I haven't got the part on how to get the
slinky back out working yet, but I am always looking for volunteers to work with. In the meantime there are a number of Dental devices which jut the jaw and open the airway, as well as some nasty surgeries which sometimes work dor some folks, after much pain.

Patient to Doctor: This CPAP stuff really sucks!
Doctor to Patient: No, actually it really blows.

I try to distract my husband by wearing something sexy and hope he won't notice the mask.

Hey Seawolf,
As you can plainly see......there's lots of great folks here at Cpaptalk. Hang in there........ After you get the proper setup and go through an adjustment period....you'll be fine. I actually like my machine. I've always been a restless sleeper. Sucking on that Jet Engine Exhaust forces me to relax. (hard to believe) I hated it so much in the beginning (5 years ago) that I was having panic attacks !!!! Thought I was going crazy........But I was determined NOT to let this thing beat me. Ahhhhhhhh Soooo much better now. Sometimes I'll wake up in the morning and forget I'm wearing the mask........I'll try to get out of bed and nearly hang myself !!

Keep asking questions...... Lots of experienced folks here
