Snoring

I need help. I am waking myself up at night snoring! Have done so for the last 3 nights. Any ideas what is going on?

I am on a bilevel with a pressure of 18/14 and using Breeze nasal pillows. Have also resorted to taping my mouth at night to keep it closed. I thought the constant air pressure would prevent snoring. Does that mean that my airway is still closing? I do not have any software to give me any reports as to AHI so am in the dark here.

Snoring and possibly sleep events occur when the pressure is leaking out. Most likely you are opening your mouth.

Being a BiPAP user you have no choice but to try an make a chin strap work. Full face masks ONLY workproperly with CPAP or Auto PAP machines. I am now the proud owner of a FP HC431 FF mask and it has given me sleep Quality nearly identical to pre-diagnosois. I wish my Pulmonologist and Respiratory therapist knew that...that's why I pay them the big bucks!

This information was given to me by Fisher and Paykel....they have no reason to lie about this, since it's bad press. NO FULL FACE MASK CURRENTLY WORKS WITH A BI-LEVEL MACHINE!

I spoke with my doctor and he is having my DME order me the Fisher/Paykel full face mask. He knows I am on a bilevel. Did the F/P people state that the full face would not work with a bilevel? I am getting more confused by the minute.

As for a chin strap, have one, doesnt hold mouth, shut that is why I tape it shut.

Wondering what to do now.
