The last few nights right before I wake up (around 2am -2:30am) my OA spikes, can anyone tell me what's happening. I've also been a little dizzy and think possibly just a sinus problem.....?
What's happening here

Re: What's happening here
It looks like you had a cluster of obstructives that your pressure wasn't high enough to prevent. It could have happened during REM or sleeping on your back. Was this AHI higher than normal or have you had others in the same range with clusters of obstructives? I would put the machine in APAP mode with minimum at 14 and 20 maximum to see if that takes care of the clusters. Otherwise if you don't want to do that you can turn off the EPR. Sometimes the lower exhalation pressure can let the obstructives occur.
Waking up during one of these episodes could produce the tired and dizziness but it shouldn't be lasting dizziness once you get going.

Re: What's happening here
He has a great machine and should definitely use the power of the auto algorithm. I never liked EPR and suggest he experiment with it off. Maybe drop it to 1 and see how he does. If OK, try dropping it to 0 the next night. He can experiment with the minimum pressure the same way. 20 for the max should be OK. The machine will not raise the pressure beyond what is needed.OkyDoky wrote:I would put the machine in APAP mode with minimum at 14 and 20 maximum to see if that takes care of the clusters.
