S9 scheduled warmup?
S9 scheduled warmup?
It looks like I can't tell the S9 to warmup on a schedule (ie, set it to warmup at 9pm every night so I don't have to remember to do it myself). It's not a big problem, but the thing has a clock and an ARM processor, it's not like it wouldn't be capable of such drudgery. I digress.
Is there anything I'm missing, or a work around so I no longer have to tell it to warm up?

well, you could rig up a little mindstorm robot to push the button for you to warm it up...stienman wrote:It looks like I can't tell the S9 to warmup on a schedule (ie, set it to warmup at 9pm every night so I don't have to remember to do it myself). or go in and hack the firmware to add extra features. (do let me know if you choose the second route.)

Well, I am tempted to poke around more. I've looked at the teardown photos, and it uses a standard ST ARM processor.palerider wrote:or go in and hack the firmware to add extra features. (do let me know if you choose the second route.)
I'd probably not do it anyway.
It does, however, have a million test points on the top side of the board, so adding a separate circuit that simply twiddles the user interface as if I were standing there might be an option.
At any rate, I don't think this bothers me enough to go that far...

Re: S9 scheduled warmup?
I keep hoping some firmware hacker would get interested and see if they can go in and dump the firmware, and see if it can be modded, see if they use the same firmware on all the machines with just a flag saying "you're an escape, you're an adapt, you're an autoset, etc.stienman wrote:It does, however, have a million test points on the top side of the board, so adding a separate circuit that simply twiddles the user interface as if I were standing there might be an option.

PR, maybe it's about time you dialed it back a bit on that diet.
And give that poor horse some oats.

Yes, its a medical device, not a piece of personal electronics.stienman wrote:Is there anything I'm missing....
