The challenge... Uninterrupted sleep every night
Re: Oventus > OSA treatment with a small 3D device
Oventus Clearway Device – from $1390 to $1750 and doesn't include the required consultation, "special sleep study" only by the Clearway Device specialists.CNTRL wrote:There site says...

What a joke. does it go directly to the Lungs? Most OSA issues are at the back of the throat, it does nothing to deal with that. You might have a better response with a Tracheotomy.
It's a snore guard, nothing more and is doubtful to be much use to anyone that really needs the gold standard, a CPAP machine.
Recap:
Another scam to get people who don't like their CPAP machine or refuse to use it in the hope it will fix their "problem". Poor joke on people who are ignorant and don't know better.
Is that a real sentence? What does it mean? What do you say have they crack it?

I don't think it would work, but I'd love to hear from someone who tried it, obviously someone not speaking for the co. And, I want to live where he is and go to the beach everyday

Re: Oventus > OSA treatment with a small 3D device
I'm with Krevlin. How does this keep your tongue from falling back as they claim? On their web site I found this statistic on oral appliances in general.
"Studies show that more than 75 per cent of people with sleep-disordered breathing – especially for mild to moderate sleep apnoea sufferers – improve their sleep significantly using any oral device on the market."
I didn't see where they got these studies.
"About 54 per cent improve to measure an AHI (Apnoea-Hypopnea Index) level of less than 10. Of those who do not improve to less than 10, 21 per cent of these will improve their AHI level by at least half." I assume the other 25 per cent had no improvement.
So they still have mild apnea at best or if severe and cut in half could still be moderate. I think to promote a product as successful they should measure those that decreased their AHI to below 5. I like my lower AHI's on CPAP.

it's not the first time I've seen that page, though I don't remember the first time, and so far, it's failed to revolutionize sleep apnea treatment.

Wonder if it might be useful if you changed the gap in the front so it took a CPAP tube. Might make a good mask!
